Filoli Extended Hours Visit

Filoli is one of my FAVORITE places to go photograph! So when they have extended hours and are open even later to the public, I try my best to make a visit.

With the onset of summer and the addition of the beautiful outdoor sculpture display, there was so much to see! I went with my dear friends Annette & Kathy who also love to photograph so we were in photography heaven for our entire visit.

We were beyond excited to have an up close and personal experience with Percy, Filoli’s pet peacock. We couldn’t believe it – right after we arrived – we encountered Percy who proceeded to give us a 20 minute long fashion show – turning around in circles so we could take in every inch of his beauty!!! It was such a treat!!! And boy – did I get a lot of photos of him!!!!

It was such a JOYFUL photo shoot! And it had a special ending as well! As we were walking out we ran into Percy the Peacock again and got one more fashion show outside the gift shop before we left. He really is quite the model!
